Girl training as an aircraft engineer

You only need the basics to start today

You don’t need much to sign up to be an aircraft mechanic. At Aveng you can begin studying aircraft mechanics as soon as you turn 16, as long as you graduate high school before you graduate with us. English is the international aeronautical language, just as it is from Formula 1 to the construction industry. It’s essential that you understand and speak it to the technical level required. We are in the position to assign you English native speakers with intimate aircraft and language knowledge, who will tailor-make short courses to suit your needs.

Theory and practice

The course runs for 2 years and consists of theory lessons and hands-on workshops. To become a certified PART 66 aircraft mechanic, you will need another two years apprenticeship at an aircraft maintenance company. If you have the time and willingness, you can combine internships alongside your studies at a nearby company in order to qualify earlier.
