Examination Terms and Conditions

I. General Framework

The terms and conditions describe the general framework for conducting examinations by AVENG aviation engineering training school. They are revised every time it is deemed necessary to adapt to international standards and good practices of conducting examinations and to ensure the integrity of the process.

All those involved in the examination (candidates, examiners, invigilators, test center coordinators and staff) must comply with the instructions presented by AVENG aviation engineering training school.

Participation in the examinations dictates full and unreserved acceptance of the terms and conditions and the decisions of the examining body, AVENG aviation engineering training school. In the case of minor candidates, their participation in the exams requires the full consent of their parents/guardians.

 

II. Rights of the examining body

AVENG aviation engineering training school reserves the right for reasons of quality assurance of the examination process to photograph, film, or record part or all the examination process. Candidates will be informed about this before the start of the examination process. The examining body retains the exclusive right to manage the material.

AVENG aviation engineering training school reserves the right to cancel the examination due to insufficient participation of candidates. In this case, AVENG may transfer the already registered candidates to the immediately following examination period.

AVENG reserves the right not to issue certificates to candidates who they suspect and/or find that irregularities have occurred during their participation in an examination period. In this case, no refund will be provided.

 

III. Process security and privacy protection

Exam-related materials and their use are protected by copyright laws. It is strictly forbidden to intercept or make public in any way the examination material and other material related to the examinations without the prior written permission of AVENG aviation engineering training school.

It is strictly forbidden to bring mobile phones, cameras, laptops and/or any other electronic devices and means of storing and retrieving information into the examination room and/or the examination waiting areas. Candidates are advised to leave such equipment behind and not bring it to the examination centre.

It is strictly forbidden to carry and use in the examination room hand notes, books, dictionaries, or other aids related or not to the examination process.

The use of any method of eavesdropping between candidates is strictly prohibited. Papers of candidates who give or take answers or use notes or other aids will be disqualified. Cooperation, conversation or in any other way communication and exchange of examination materials or other objects between candidates and other persons during the examinations is prohibited.

Filming or recording, transferring, or broadcasting part or all the examination process and part or all the examination material by any means and for any purpose is strictly prohibited.

AVENG aviation engineering training school reserves the right to resort to any legal means to safeguard the security of the examinations and the observance of the regulations. It also reserves the right to raise, if it deems appropriate, claims for compensation and monetary satisfaction for any damage or moral harm, respectively, suffered because of non-compliance with its rule and regulations. AVENG aviation engineering training school reserves the right to address without prior notification of the candidate to the competent audit, judicial or other authorities if the candidate's actions or omissions harm or threaten the public interest.

 

IV. Exams registration and participation

Candidates who wish to participate in the examinations organized by the AVENG aviation engineering training school must make a reservation by filling out the examination application form online on its website.

Candidates who make a reservation to sit for examinations conducted by AVENG agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions stated below.

1. Applicants must provide true and accurate information when completing the online REGISTRATION FORM. This information will be used for administrative purposes related to the exams booked and to generate certificates where necessary. Applicants are responsible for notifying AVENG aviation engineering training school of any changes to the information provided (e.g., ID number, address/email address). 2. Candidates should provide an electronic address (email). AVENG will contact candidates via email regarding payments and booking confirmation.

3. AVENG will inform applicants of payment schedules. Applicants must ensure that payment is made within the deadlines provided by AVENG. If payment is not received within the specified time, the booking will be cancelled.

4. Candidates must submit their reservation by the closing date as announced in the examination schedule on the AVENG website. By submitting their online registration form, they confirm that they will make the payment for the exams within the deadline. Exam fees are not transferable or refundable.

5. Candidates must present proof of identity at the examination center before participating in their examinations. In particular:

  • Greek citizens must present valid police ID or passport or driver's license or copy photo ID certified by an official authority
  • European Union member state citizens must present a valid ID or passport

Without any of the above documents, entry to the examination room is prohibited.

6. Candidates must familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions applicable to the examinations set by AVENG and ensure that they comply with these rules.

I. Participation in examinations

Candidates are not allowed to choose a seat in the examination room. Candidates are allocated seats designated by the relevant examination staff. The examiners reserve the right to make changes to the arrangement of the examinees during the examinations.

Candidates must behave in an appropriate manner during the examination. AVENG reserves the right to disqualify any applicant who does not comply with the examination rules. In case of disqualification, the certification will not be issued, and the examination fees will not be refunded.

Inappropriate behavior such as threats, insults, bullying and any form of offensive behavior towards the examination staff or fellow candidates at any time during the examination process (before or during it) constitutes a reason for disqualification of the candidate. Inappropriate behavior includes the use of abusive, insulting, or racist language both before, during or after the examination and in the content of the answers.

Smoking is strictly prohibited, as is the consumption of food and drink in the examination room, except for water.

Candidates are responsible for arriving at the examination center on time. Candidates must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam. Candidates who come after the commencement of the examination will not be allowed to enter. AVENG aviation engineering training school uses an electronic tablet-based exam system that automatically locks when the exam starts and does not allow any late entry into the system. In this case the exam fees will not be refunded.

II. Disclaimer

AVENG aviation engineering training school takes every care for the continuous provision of its examination and other services, according to the program announced each time and any modifications. However, if for any reason the provision of services is interrupted, delayed, modified, postponed, or cancelled, AVENG possible liability is limited to the refund of the examination fees or the planning of a new examination if possible. AVENG shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage, financial, moral, or otherwise of any magnitude arising because of the above.
